Non-profit plans N.Y. wind forecasting September 25, 2008 3:39 pm EDT Filed in Wind New York state is preparing its electric grid for more wind power. The non-profit that runs the grid, the New York Independent System Operator has had a wind-power forecasting system installed by AWS Truewind, The Business Review of Albany reports. The system uses historical and meteorological trends to determine how much wind will be available in the future.
